Passover (Pesach in Hebrew) is the Jewish people’s festival of freedom. Together with our families, and our synagogue community, we celebrate our people’s liberation from slavery in ancient times, and give thanks for the many blessings in our lives. Read on for tips about how to celebrate Passover at home, and information about how we’ll be celebrating together as a community.

Rabbinical Assembly Pesach Guide

Do you have questions about which foods and products can be eaten on Passover?  Are you looking for a refresher on how to make your kitchen kosher for Passover?  You can find the information you need in the Rabbinical Assembly’s Pesach Guide. Of course, you can always contact Rabbi Rosenthal with questions as well.

All About Passover

The website Exploring Judaism has tons of information about Passover and the Seder – you can see their Passover page here.

Sale of Chametz, Ma’ot Chittin

On Passover, we abstain from eating chametz – bread and all other leavened products.  It’s traditional to sell your chametz items to someone who is not Jewish for the duration of the holiday. Click Here to appoint Rabbi Rosenthal as your agent to sell your chametz for you. This form will also give you an opportunity to make a donation for ma’ot chittin – charitable giving that’s traditionally done before Passover.
