Welcome Cantor Rachel Black

Cantor Rachel will officially be joining us August 1.  She will be leading us in prayer and song two Shabbatot a month including Bar and Bat Mitzvah weekends as well as holidays throughout the year.  Additionally, Cantor Rachel will daven for us on the High Holidays.  We are looking forward to having Rachel, her husband Eric and her daughter Cora join the Melville Jewish Center community.

Please meet Cantor Rachel and her family at her first Shabbat at Melville JC on August 5 and August 6.  It will be a wonderful Shabbat, kid and family friendly, and a fantastic way to make her feel welcome.  You will have a chance to schmooze and talk to her one-on-one at the Oneg following services.

Cantor Rachel will also be with us at our annual Shabbat Under the Stars celebration on Friday night, August 19.  This will be an incredibly special evening.  Our Early Childhood students are busy practicing, and will be performing.  It is an opportunity to meet our prospective members who will be attending.   We guarantee you will have a fabulous and fun-filled evening.  Dress casual and bring your friends!  Everyone is welcome.
